1. What do I need to get started with pMDsoft charge capture?
To get started, all you need is a handheld device (BlackBerry or Palm) and a computer
capable of running an Internet browser (Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, ...).
2. I already have
a handheld device. Will I be able to use pMDsoft on that device?
Any BlackBerry device with a four-way trackwheel; including the 8800, 8830, Curve, and Pearl,
or
Any handheld device using the Palm Operating System, version 3.0
or greater, can run pMDsoft. These include:

3. Do I need to
purchase a new computer, or can I use the one I have?
Any computer capable of running an Internet browser and the Palm
desktop software may be used. You don't need to have a computer to use our BlackBerry application.

connection required?
Yes. The Internet enables the recording and sharing of real-time
patient information from anywhere, at any time.
5. Is your service
wireless?
Yes. pMDsoft is installed on wireless handheld devices. pMDsoft
allows you to update patient records on the go, without the hassle
of return visits to the office, wires and phone lines.
6. Can I use your
medical software service if I have a Macintosh?
Yes. Our service will work with a Macintosh or a Windows-based PC.
7. What Internet
browser do you recommend for use with the pMDsoft service?
pMDsoft supports a variety of web browsers; however, we recommend
the most recent versions of Mozilla Firefox.

1. Can pMDsoft be used by an individual
physician as well as a large organization?
pMDsoft customers currently include individual physicians, physician
practice groups, billing companies, medical networks and hospitals
located across the country. pMDsoft's scalable architecture makes
it suitable for any size organization.
2. Is pMDsoft easy
to use?
pMDsoft's charge capture solution is designed to be simple and easy
to use. Its built-in simplicity has eased the rate of adoption among
physicians.
3. How much does
it cost?
pMDsoft charges physician users a quarterly subscriber fee of $199
per month, which includes: unlimited access to the service, interface to a billing or practice management system, 24/7 telephone support,
implementation of upgrades, ongoing training and software licenses
for office staff. Physicians also incur a one-time initial set up
fee of $349 per user, which covers initial training for physicians
and their staff, initial interface setup as well as the uploading of practice-specific data
to the pMDsoft system.
4. Does the pMDsoft
interface with my current practice management and medical billing
system?
Yes. We are capable of integrating with billing systems as well
as transcription systems, EMR and other systems through our HL7 interface.
5. How secure is
my patient data over the Internet?
All patient data is transferred over a secure socket layer (SSL)
connection to the pMDsoft database. In fact, we use the same technology
deployed by many online banks. SSL means that the information sent
over the Internet is encrypted so that only authorized recipients
can access it. We also encrypt the information found on your PDA
to prevent hackers or thieves from gaining access to sensitive patient
information.
6. Does pMDsoft
protect the privacy of my patient data?
All patient data stored with pMDsoft is the property of the customer.
pMDsoft does not sell ANY of its patient data to third parties or
use this data for its own marketing purposes. pMDsoft is HIPAA ready.
